Volunteer registration for World Meeting of Families is open

Online volunteer registration for the World Meeting of Families Philadelphia 2015 is open to the public. With more than 10,000 volunteers needed for the World Meeting of Families Congress from Sept. 22 to 25 and the papal visit from Sept. 26 to 27, people ages 18 and older can register to volunteer at worldmeeting2015.volunteerhub.com for the opportunity to play a crucial role in this once-in-a-lifetime event.

Volunteer opportunities during the World Meeting week include those related to the Festival of Families and Papal Mass.

More options will be added upon the announcement of Pope Francis’ itinerary in Philadelphia, which is expected in early summer.

The website offers prospective volunteers a simple and secure platform to complete an application form and level three background check. The background check typically takes 24 to 48 hours to process. The cost is assumed by the World Meeting of Families but applicants may donate the $28 fee back to the event.

Applicants may request specific assignments, dates and times to satisfy their particular skills and availabilities. The application process should take about five minutes. ••
